Decorative lime plaster mortar has been used as far back as ancient Egypt, from Roman villas to the unique design of the walls in Venetian palaces as an expression of culture, prosperity and success.

Today, lime is one of the most versatile building materials and indispensable in the design of interior walls from simple wall paint to plaster.

Tierrafino lime is available in 25 kg bags and can be used in the interior 5 – 10 mm plus Lime-fine 3 – 5 mm.

The project shown here is the FOOD FORUM at the Florida exhibition in Almere, Netherlands. This building presents ideas for the future of food for the next generations. The interior spaces are designed with clay to fully complement the ecological approach. Here, the clay plaster was applied over reed mats. The ceiling of the room is at the same height as the North Sea water level.
